ZAYDE AND THE STEREO WAR

Geoff Duncan and Dustin Burnett met in Nashville at a songwriting camp in 2010. Duncan, a recent TN transplant from New Zealand, started a convo at lunch at the songwriting camp which would begin a long friendship for he and Burnett, but the two producers would not start a music project until nearly a dozen years later.

In 2021 after the oppressive pandemic, Dustin Burnett aka Zayde Wølf wanted to try some new things with his vocals and write some songs that had an upbeat and carefree feeling. Burnett reached out to Duncan to see what the possibilities would be and the two linked up in the studio to experiment.

Using a more old-school and organic approach for the songwriting and recording, Duncan brought over an old bass and some vintage synths. They cut drums and bass live in the studio together, then overdubbed guitars and violin for that disco snap. They created all of their own samples and built their palette of sounds from scratch.

The result of this collaboration between legendary Sync Artist Zayde Wølf and Billboard-topping producer Geoff Duncan aka Duncan Sparks is packed with hooks and charm. The self-titled EP combines elements of disco, classic cinema, beach vibes, and lush silky vocals. These flavors combine into a somehow chill-yet-energetic vision of hope for an exciting and inspiring future ahead.

Within their collective production and writing, the two producers have amassed hundreds of millions of streams, thousands of sync placements, and performances around the world.

Zayde and the Stereo War is a collaboration built to last, and the songs from the EP have already found their way into multiple TV shows, sports, YouTube channels, and played by DJ’s in the Nashville club scene.
